Cast A Rhyme

Cast a shadow,
     Cast a doubt;
Wherever it takes you,
     Without a shout.
I heard your breath,
     I felt your death;
Take a chance, you know I’ll croak.

Dripping with silence,
     Spinning a vision;
Cold as comfort,
     We drift without mission.
Somewhere inside,
     Somewhere to hide;
Time to wish again, dancing with sin.

To float, to fly, to dream once more;
To forage, to find, what you’re burning for.

Cast a shadow,
     Cast a doubt;
Cast a stone,
     When you’re alone.
If it leads you here,
     Leads you there;
Twisting with time in a deadly rhyme.

To suffer, to shout,
Cast a shadow, cast a doubt.
