The time has come for the closing of the doors
Society’s fingers must now be cut away
The rust has been settling long enough on these floors
So much weight has grown that the eyes can’t be opened any day

Then what’s left to do that can’t be done
Sometimes, when the river stops, you can’t get it moving again
Them that try to struggle, try then fail then fall undone
Some that succeed once, again are found back where they began

These things have been said, and now it’s time to end
Society can’t help anymore when the pain and loss is too much to bear
There is no more strength left to fight from falling and making an amend
So long to all and goodnight, I won’t try anymore, for I have lost all care
