Oracle

I disown humanity
I abandon hope
I tear free these scars of care and love
I release pain
I deny compassion
I isolate my soul from warmth and life

And this is how I burn
And this is how I purge
And this is how I dissolve any feeling

There was once a time
     of youth and innocence
          that never existed
There was once a child
     of dreams and destiny
          that never existed

And this is how I purge
And this is how I burn
And this is how I bleed into nothing

But this is not what will be
But this is not what I need
This is not what I care to dream

And this is not me
And this is not me
And
    this
         is
            not
                me
Not anything I wanted to be

So I’ll disown humanity
I’ll deny compassion
And I will fade away
Just as I was destined to be
