A dream she lies, in my bed A dream she whispers, in my head I hold her close, so far away I hold her wise, so young she’ll stay This desert I’ve come to On my own again I set out this moment To thirst for sand Back in the forest Back in the dark Playing with innocence She’ll dance with memory And then one day, the sun will burn, The stars will explode, And she will see, What was foretold. And I will look up in the sky, To see the thunder, And as I crumble, as I fall, I shall no longer wonder. A dream she lies, in my bed A dream she whispers, in my head Of visions divine What stories are mine Holding me close, holding me sweet Knowing her decision, if we ever meet.
