Sunshine

The sunshine sets again
Like a memory that never was
For a second’s worth of eternity
The clouds raged silent
Forever leaving a dent

And the sun does not shine for me
The night does not quiet for me
The futures do not unfold
And I grow another day old

For a moment
Ever lost
Smiling away
A rejuvenation
Crumbles to ash

The sunshine burns away
Taking along worlds of bliss
A dream has died again
Crying in its throws
All that this never knows

And afraid
And devoid
Hope falling
Brilliance dying
As the sunshine sets again
The golden sunshine
Not for me
