Holding my hand and letting go Feeling the pain and walking slow So small in this world, and so big in my mind This hope, feeling and warmth, love I just can’t find I want to go home, back to bed Deep into dream-sleep, lose my head Let the memories slide away, disappear Till all the convictions go, not to reappear Flying through a sky with closed eyes Swimming in a river filled with lies The emptiness of an open heart, willing to give and lend Is stuck on a path that continues forever without a bend To break the chains, to stand once more To cleanse the wounds, to heal the sore Only in a dream, only in a wish is the righteousness Out of the sleep and out of hope is where all is helpless
